I would hope as a breeder, that this isn't what the owner would have wanted for his birds.
This is in my backyard, and today is the first that i have even heard of it. Why the authorities are not more involved who knows, as well as
I have NOT seen any news coverage on this either?

the whole thing just makes me sick! the Pictures will be giving me nightmares.

Leo's breeder said this is what happens when your a breeder with out a BACK up plan.

I wonder about contacting the news about this, but who am I...and I am concerned if I do, that I'll UNdo what ever they have in place right
now trying to help the birds....

Prayers are where I am at right now! I am praying that the Lord will guide me as to what & who I should do!

I'm with you Annrose. The one Wyspur mentioned in Tennessee is only 2 hours from me and I have a bird friend here that works with our animal contol and we haven't heard of it. I just emailed a breeder I know in Nashville, in the backyard of that story to see what he knows about it. I see what you are saying about media interference undoing the good. It could make the owners fight harder or make them cave in. These cases always scare me on a personal level. There are always groups pushing for no sales of exotic animals at all. Cases like this just give them more fuel for their fire.

I've been following this online and just posted a blog about it. Ignorance like this scares me and angers me to no end - the guy wants to keep them because he can still make money off of them - what the heck?!

I wish I could save them all. If you guys want to send money, or supplies, there are several online retailers that will let you purchase food or supplies for the rescue birds. They'll give you a discount on your order and ship it right out to the rescue.
    Owned by:
Higgins & Rosie, black headed caiques
    Tahoe & Sierra, pacific parrotlets
Lucky - blue and gold macaw
    Max - timneh african grey
    Marlee - pineapple greencheek conure
    Tooie - molluccan cockatoo
