Well none of the eggs are fertile and as of now Isabel hasn't laid anymore ... I was little excited at the idea of bringing new caiques into the world ... oh well, maybe next year.

Well it has been 14 days since Isabel laid her first egg... she has laid a total of three eggs and has been sitting on them religiously... Non however appear to be fertile... ... I took them away this afternoon and placed them in the incubator just in case... She was sitting on them like a good mother, but now she doesn't ...

^ he is either feeding her or making babies with her, which ever it is it is pretty funny...

The first egg is not fertile (there's 3 now)... she has been sitting on it for over a week and they are all still candling clear ... I am hoping one of them is at least fertile.... I'll just have to wait and see....

Well earlier this morning I had my doubts as to whether or not the eggs where fertile... I candled them and so far they are clear... however, she just started sitting on them full time so maybe in a few days there will be some good news.... Also, I think I caught them "doing it" ... They were both in the nest box and all of a sudden I heard the nest box rattling ...

Well its day five... and I'm getting anxious... I will know soon if they are fertile or not by candling them... there's also a new egg today... so far so good she is sitting on them pretty tight, so if they are fertile there is a good chance that they will hatch... My concern is that I have never seen them mating... but everywhere I read it tells ...
