Ok so between me and my boyfriend our house has 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 parrots, one of which is no longer in the house and is enjoying his time with his grandma lol.

So...

This is Loki

This is Gracie

(Loki as a kitten)

This is my BF's dog, Bondee. She has more energy than a power house

Ok, this is Mona. She is my BF's parents dog. But she now lives with us. I am not a huge fan of her because she keeps eating paper.... mostly my homework.

Oh my gosh, I love the pics. Thank you for taking the time to post all of those. Your cats are so cute. Your doggies are beautiful. I especially like the little black and white one, his ears are too cute. Your grey lives else where now? Are greys hard to keep? I have always wondered about greys but I think they would be too much bird for me. I love peanuts pictures. Thanks again for sharing.........connie

I didn't find my Grey hard to keep at all.... love my Pooh-Bird to death. But with the way my schedule is, since I decided to go bad to school, I let my mom take care of him.... who she spoils him more than you can imagine.... 3 course meals, a new toy everyday, his own TV time :weirdface I am beginning to feel that my brother and I did even have it this good. I actually see him more this way. I stop by my mom's house after work to get mail and spend time with him. but on school nights I have a couple hours with him before I have to leave. w00t You see no matter where I am going, its an hour away. I work in NY and the school is an hour south and my house is in MA and thats and hour from each location. :shakefistMy mom's house is right in between work and school. I also shower and raid her fridge lol :mwahaha
Peanut is fine because my boyfriend can handle her, while Pooh tries to kill him when he gets to close to me :sweat pooh gets along with me and my mom. My dad is willing to take the bites... my boy friend, well lets just say he is a bit of a wuss :giggle

If your boyfriend is a "bit of a wuss" , you may want to warn him about those nasty caique bites. LOL. They hurt like a son of a gun. I know from personal experience and so do a lot of people on this forum. Gotta love those caiques anyway.

Oh he knows :giggle
We both have been bitten by a Macaw... now that hurt!! lots of scars!
He just never learns.... I try and tell him that he is going to get bit, next thing you know I am cleaning up the blood. lmao

Too funny. Ok, I bow before you because you have been bitten by a Macaw. YIKES!!! If you can survive a Macaw bite then you can survive a caique bite. I was bitten by a Hans Macaw once. The little sucker kept saying step up and when he went to step up he pulled his foot back quickly and then bit me. The worst of it is that he then laughed. The little brat. I still like him though. Actually, if you think about it, it was kinda funny.

I have met a very fun Hans before. I was sitting at the vet to have one of our dogs get her shots and in walks this lady with a cat carrier. Now I know there isn't an avian vet at this location so I didn't think anything of it. At least not til I heard a squeaky little voice screaming "Let me out! Let me out!"
:dance oh I was all over that.... I just had to go and see the little guy.
he was still asking to be let out while clinging to the cage door and I had a good laugh over it, which, of course, made him laugh which made me laugh harder.... and so he laughed harder.
At that point I made that cooing "awwww" noise and of course he did it right back at me and then screamed let me out. :giggle

I have a hahns, I must say that the caique bite was worse than then mini macs :) I have been bitten by all 3 of them. :D

The mini mac didn't draw blood on me. I was lucky. Leroy, on the other hand, has drawn blood on me more then once. I don't think I would want to be bitten by a grey either.

OMG when I was housing the BG he reached down and chomped right down on my arm. Of course I stood my ground to show him that biting doesn't chase me away, but I am sooo glad I had a sweater on because if it would of been all skin I wouldn't of stood my ground and I would of needed stitches.
ow ow... he got me in the thumb once too. I was trying to give him a walnut and he acting like he was going to take it.... took my thumb instead
wait... I was videoing that... let me see if I can find ole Henry

I had an incident when Iolani decided to venture to another birds cage and I knew it was either me get bit or head to the vet from a hurt bird. So I took my lumps with Iolani, well lets just say her beak went in the side of my hand and almost to the bone. IT was bad but didn't need to go to the dr. Thats the worst i have ever gotten. I did get 8 of them when i went to get Cyrus my too.

Oh my gosh, those are terrible stories. And painful ones. I would have taken the bite over a bird getting hurt. Good job on that. Good job Darkchi for standing your ground. That is how I got one of my bites from Leroy. I had to show him who the boss was. Love is sometimes painful. LOL!!! But we still love our birds.
Alan, eight bites from the too? Yikes. that would suck. May the force be with you. lol

Good Lord man, what did you do to deserve that, did you anger the "too" Gods or what? You are one brave person.

LOL NO I consented to taking in a too that was scared to death of hands. His old owner would grab, thunk, or shake his head and beak when he went to chew on something. I hope we have gotten past that with our rehab. I usually am very good at reading him now.

How does anyone justify treating a bird like that? Too many folks get birds because they think they are cool and have no idea what kind of work they are. They are a HUGE commitment. Thank God for people like you who are willing to right the wrong in a bird's life. Keep up the good work.
