There is a new training program out there that is really interesting. The concept is you pay x amount of money per year, and every Sunday night you can clue in and listen to live, exclusive training sessions with some of the best people in the bird business. Barbara Heidenrich, Liz Wilson, etc etc etc. Well, my friend Lisa Bono got invited to speak with another speaker and do a session on african greys- she has had birds for 33 years and really knows her stuff. So I was talking to her the other day and said 'gee I wish they had a caique speaker' and she told me to email the creator of the site and tell them I'd be willing to do it.
EEK. I did, I did, I did. I am just waiting for an email back- she is throwing in her recommendation for me as well. I just wanted to give you all a heads up, because I told the people about CC & CCF and what a great community we have, so I am sure they are coming here scoping us out lol. I'd love to get the position, simply because it'd be talking about birds from a caique owners point of view rather then a breeder, which is what the original intention. So, everyone cross your fingers. And if you have time go to http://www.thebirdtalks.com and email the site admins and tell them you want a caique speaker! Even if its not myself, the caique community needs to stick up for the education of people about our favorite species :)
