Hello All, my name is SandyJ. and I live in the South Jersey area.
I'm a retired Professional Dog Handler. Past breeder of Boxers and Pugs.
For years I was alway's looking down. Much more fun looking up!
I am owned by many but for this list i'll give you a few of my kids.
Oliver, my Heart, A congo Grey
Chauncey, A BC Conure.. My shower buddy
Jacob a GC, a sweet young man who think's my skin needs beak marks! Out of love I know..
Thinking of adding a Caique to my little Zoo however, can't quite make up my mind.
I see many of you have other species so, this should not upset anyone..
My other choice is a Senegal!Must admit I do love the personality of the Caique however, heard they can be loud.
My Grey talks and sings, not a loud young man. My Bc he's very vocal and can make me want to leave home!
Love Chauncey dearly especially ,when in his gurgle voice he asks me "I'm a good Boy ?" Oliver yells back"Will you Shut Up !"
Wish I had never used that word.. Much too late now... :help
Anyone care to give me input here?
Hugs All,
SandyJ.

:wave :ccfwelcome :wave
I have Caiques and Conures and I think they are great together!
When it comes down to it, loud is loud...the decibel is a bit different.

Welcome welcome!

I think the main thing between the two species you chose is the pitch level. I was given a senegal a while back that I rehabilitated.. his call literally hurt my ears. It wasn't loud per say, but oh so shrill. Caiques are not near as shrill.
