Update...
Took my guy to the vet today. He's got some weird flight feathers. Turns out the woman I got him from gave him a bad clip and too deep. At some point he broke some feathers, the vet said, so that's why they stick out funny when he flaps.
She also said it is the time when she sees the most hormonal problems- the beginning of spring, and from the ages of 4 to 8 seem to be the worst.
We're hoping this, combined with being uncomfortable from beginning a molt, is what has been making him act so crazy. The vet said he should be back to his sweet self anytime until 8 weeks from now.
8 WEEKS!!! Uugh!
I'm going to start him on a regular drink of chamomile tea. I'll make it in the a.m., and always have a bowl there next to his water. She said this helps to calm them.
