Well, here's the scoop..lol. I had bought those 5 different food from BP for Kiwi.

Ultimate Blend - He LOVES it. I didn't think it looked any different than the Tropimix he's always eaten (but won't eat it anymore) but he dove right in and ate and ate and ate.

Asian Medley - He HATES it. He took about 2 bites, and ended up thowing them accross the room. Of course, now i have a huge 2.5lb bag of this stuff that he won't eat. :soap Maybe he'll like it someday..but I doubt it..sigh..

Goldenfeast pellets/Golden Obles - He likes these. But I don't know if he's eating them or just playing with them.

Roudybush pellets - Won't touch them. Don't really blame him, they don't look too tasty. lol

Cream of Tweet - DOn't know, haven't cooked it yet. Might do that today. I have a feeling he'll like it more than the asian medley, he's definately a fruity bird..

So that's that. I now have 2 1/2 bags of Tropimix, ad 2.5lbs of Asian Medley I need to find something to do with! Need to find someone else around here that has a parrot..Then I could sell it to them! It would cost a fortune for me to ship it to anyone on here, so there's not much point in that. lol.

Megan,
Cook up a little Asian Medley and Ultimate Blend together, about half and half, and see if Kiwi will eat that. Since he loves the UB those flavors in the AM may get him to eat it.
Also if you cook a small amount and give it to him every day he will get used to it and maybe start eating it, Cindi told me that's what I needed to do to get mine to eat new things.

Thanks Holly :)

I'll try that. I should have probably known better though, even with 'table food' he doesn't like tomatoey or spicy stuff. He doesn't like spaghetti sauce or stuff like that..so who knows. he'll eat pretty much anything, so maybe he'll come around. I'll keep giving it to him though and see if he will ever learn to like it ;)

Roudybush? ewww i have tried before on my cockatiel and it gave him runny poop all the time.

for my GCC, she doesnt like pellets, she just throw them away (harrisons) she eats Birdelicious and breakfast delicious from the same organic food line, which is http://www.bestbirdfood.com, its all made fresh when u order it.

Have Foundation Formula pellets and im struggling with her to eat it lol, she doesnt like it either.
Quinoa is her best food, she loves it with anything on it. dry veggies, fruits, red palm oil, eggs etc.

my girl got too picky, too fuzzy. :soap

Tupelo never wanted anything to do with the Roudybush pellets either. I had the plain looking ones, kind of beige in color. But my daughter loves them. You think I'm joking but I catch her eating them from time to time. Oh well, can't hurt. She also likes to eat the dropped fish pellets she finds on the floor. Gives her nasty breath which she thinks is hilarious and will chase you all around the house breathing on you.
Tups eats the Goldenfeast pellets, too Megan. I soften them with pear nectar or apricot nectar and that gets him to eat a lot of them, just a suggestion. He doesn't like anything spicy either or too tomatoey. But I know alot of caiques love that stuff like hot peppers. Tupelo has always turned his beak up at it.

lol too funny. Kiwi's actually been munching on some of the roudybush pellets now. I don't think I'll buy them again, but he is welcome to eat what's left. i gave him some asian medly dry up on his playtop and he munched on it too. To mu suprise, he doesn't like the cream of tweet..sigh. I cooked it yesterday and he doesn't like it. But I think I am going to freeze it in little globs and keep offering it to him over time. No sense throwing out the whole bucket. I'm just happy he likes the ultimate blend. It has taken me like 2 months to find something he will actually eat!
