Hi guys,
I'm sure you are getting sick of Leroy talk but here is one more video. The video of him is not so good but you can at least hear his talking. I had to play spy and stay in our front living room while he was in the dining room. The video is a little blurry because I had to really zoom in. Other wise he would have been on to me and the whole thing would have been over. LOL He's such a stinker.

Here is a little of what he is saying. You have to listen close. When he first gets on his play gym in the morning he is so excited that he rambles on and on and mixes all his words together.
At the 56 second mark, he is just making noises
At 53 seconds he says "hey baby", "how are you","what are you doing" then he just repeats stuff over. I like when he says "what are you doin' doin' doin"
I know he is hard to understand but he is fun to listen to at home. He makes me laugh daily.

Could you actually understand what he was saying. I know as his mom, I hear every little thing that he says. Another bird owner would pick up on it but you have to listen very close. Like I said before, it doesn't matter to me if he talks or not. My lovebird doesn't say a word but she is my little princess and always will be. I couldn't love her any more then I do. Just like you with Bailey. Gotta love these birds.......w00t

Yes, I could hear him clearly...clearer than most other caiques I've heard. "What'cha doin'?" is one of the phrases I have been repeating to Bailey since I've brought him home, so I really noticed how well Leroy said it! :clap

Keep saying things to him several times a day and he might surprise you.
When I get Leroy up in the morning I always say, "Hi, how are you?" and after about a month or less he started saying "Hi, are you" after a couple of weeks he added the "How"
We always say "hey baby" to Ava (lovebird} because she tried saying it once and we keep hoping but then one day while we were saying it to her, Leroy said it.
Bailey will pick up on it. Just when you think he won't, he will surprise you.

Thanks Holly,
By the way, how are the new babies in your life doing? Human and feathered? I hope everyone is happy and healthy. I know I loved the video of Sydney making little baby noises when he was falling asleep. I watched that one a few times. Love those Eclectus.

All the babies are fine, thanks for asking.
Sydney is learning to deal with the Caique enthusiasm through Cai, and Kiwee is so sweet to everyone.
Tira is being weaned from her medicine and had her shots the other day, she's doing well and is a little Chubby Cherub. Unfortunately her dad, Marc, was fired yesterday...a week before Christmas. Money was tight but now they're not sure what will happen, Morgan was looking online for new jobs for him...any prayers he gets a new and better paying job will be appreciated.

Your in luck, I happen to be a BIG believer in the power of prayer. I will add your family to my prayers tonight. That is just awful. Things are so bad for everyone. No wonder very few people have the Christmas spirit this year. It's hard to find that spirit when you loose your job and wonder where the next paycheck is coming from. I'm glad to hear that Tira is getting off of her medicine and is doing well. That is some good news. I wish your family the best and I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers........connie

His speech is fabulous. I'd fall right over if Soel said anything. It is something that I don't except!
I am sorry that Marc lost his job. I too will send prayers and vibes out to them and those involved. Take care.
